The Policing and Community Safety Authority met the new Garda Commissioner Justin Kelly and senior officers in public at the Castleknock Hotel in Dublin.
The meeting opened with Commissioner Kelly highlighting the latest Garda recruitment campaign.
He then outlined his vision and ambition for An Garda Síochána during his five-year term.
The other items discussed included Roads Policing and Policing Performance.
