The Policing and Community Safety Authority held a meeting in public with the Garda Commissioner Justin Kelly at the Richmond Education and Event Centre this afternoon.
The meeting opened with Garda Commissioner Justin Kelly and Deputy Commissioner Paul Cleary answering questions on An Garda Síochána’s Quarter One Performance Report.
The agenda then moved on to roads policing and the implementation of recommendations arising from the Crowe Report last year.
Other topics discussed included crime trends and the policing response, as well as the An Garda Síochána Culture Audit.
The meeting concluded with questions on the PCSA Assessment Report on the Garda Homicide Review, which was published today.
The next PCSA meeting with the Garda Commissioner will be in private on Thursday 30 July at the Garda College in Templemore.
The next meeting in public will be in Cavan on 29 October.
