The Policing and Community Safety Authority (PCSA) has continued its in-person consultations on the Policing Priorities for 2026–2028 with well attended events in Carrick-on-Shannon, Clonmel and Tullamore in the last month.
In Clonmel last week, and more recently in Tullamore, we heard from a broad range of community voices on key issues, such as garda visibility, crime prevention, drug-related harm, and gender-based violence.

The insights shared were thoughtful and grounded in the real-life experiences of those living and working in these communities.
Each contribution plays a part in shaping how policing services can better meet public needs.
The final in-person consultation will take place in Dublin on Monday 26 May at the Ashling Hotel.
We had a very productive in-person public consultation in Clonmel today, where community groups from across the south joined us to share their views on the Policing Priorities.
We appreciate you taking the time to share your invaluable insights. We look forward to our next… pic.twitter.com/3fJdqqWwsj

We are also looking ahead to the first public Authority meeting of the PCSA on Thursday 29 May.
The event at Dublin’s Gresham Hotel will be live-streamed on our YouTube channel and open to the public to attend. Tickets will be available later this week.
The online consultation remains open until 8 June and takes just a few minutes to complete. Have your say today at: https://pcsa.prioritysimulator.com.
