The Policing and Community Safety Authority has published the scope and terms of reference for its inspection of the management and storage of biological samples by An Garda Síochána.
The inspection work of the PCSA is a key element of our oversight of An Garda Síochána.
The PCSA has committed to undertaking four inspections this year. The four inspections have examined:
–Risk management in garda custody
–Resolution of calls for service without dispatching gardaí
-The policing of bail conditions by An Garda Síochána
–The management and storage of biological samples by An Garda Síochána
