The Policing and Community Safety Authority has published the scope and terms of reference for its the policing of bail conditions by An Garda Síochána.
The inspection work of the PCSA is a key element of our oversight of An Garda Síochána.
The PCSA has committed to undertaking four inspections this year. The first three will examine:
–Risk management in garda custody
–Resolution of calls for service without dispatching gardaí
-The policing of bail conditions by An Garda Síochána
The final inspection of 2026 will examine:
-The management and storage of biological samples by An Garda Síochána
